Oct 13, 2021 9:00:00 AM

Every year, IAEM brings together some of the best and brightest in emergency management to collaborate on solving today's most pressing problems and to learn about the future of disaster management.

This year, after a two-year hiatus, we're finally meeting in person – and we cannot wait to meet you. Disaster Tech is excited to participate and show off how DICE's capabilities can help the emergency management professionals in your organization make better-informed decisions with advanced situational awareness and custom tools on one common operating picture.

Here's how Disaster Tech is participating this year:

  • Booth Information
    Booth Number: 816
What: Visit booth 816 to learn more about the powerful technology behind Disaster Tech's DICE, and receive demonstrations of Voltron, a game-changing preparedness platform by Microsoft and Disaster Tech. In addition, attendees will be able to enter giveaways, and happy hour bracelets (see below for more information) will be distributed.
  • Speaker Session
Title: Leveraging Microsoft and Disaster Tech for Exercises

Where: DeVos Place Convention Center - Ballroom C
When: Tuesday, October 19 from 2:30 – 3:00 pm ET
Microsoft and Disaster Tech have teamed together to bring the next wave of innovation for designing and conducting exercises to evaluate emergency management agency plans and intergovernmental capabilities. During this presentation, emergency managers will have the opportunity to learn how leadership, staff, and partners can take better advantage of the tools they already have (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Office 365, etc.) to conduct exercises and evaluations. Speakers will also demonstrate Voltron, a game-changing preparedness platform by Microsoft and Disaster Tech.
    Key takeaways include:
    - Why enhanced gamification is necessary within all phases of the emergency management lifecycle.
    - How Microsoft and Disaster Tech have teamed up to build an exercise gamification platform, and how exercise planners can leverage these capabilities to improve emergency management exercises and evaluation products.
    - How this technology will transform data-driven, automated evaluations and after-action reports.
